2026 Kawasaki KLX230 Launched in India at Rs 1.99 Lakh, Experiences a Price cut of Rs 1.30 Lakh
Kawasaki India has introduced the MY26 KLX230, priced at Rs 1.99 lakh, which is significantly lower than the previous model's Rs 3.30 lakh. This motorcycle, available in multiple color options, will commence deliveries in early October 2025, with a booking fee of Rs 5,000. The KLX230 features a sturdy steel frame, a 233cc single-cylinder engine producing 18.7 bhp, and advanced suspension with considerable travel. It is designed for off-road capability and includes modern features like a digital instrument panel and dual LED headlights.

Kawasaki India launched the Made-in-India MY26 KLX230 in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.99 lakh. Reflecting a price reduction of Rs 1.30 lakh from the 2025 model, which was priced at Rs 3.30 lakh. The bike is available in Lime Green and Battle Gray/Bright White/Ebony colour options. Deliveries are set to begin in the first week of October 2025, with bookings open for a token amount of Rs 5,000.
2026 Kawasaki KLX230: Design
The KLX230 is assembled in India and features KX-inspired bodywork. It uses a high-tensile steel perimeter frame with a short wheelbase and a seat height of 880 mm. The motorcycle has 255 mm of ground clearance and a curb weight of 139 kg. The rear subframe is reinforced for better load handling during off-road use.
2026 Kawasaki KLX230: Engine and Transmission
2026 Kawasaki KLX230 is powered by an air-cooled, 233cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke engine that puts out 18.7 bhp and 19 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed return-shift transmission.
2026 Kawasaki KLX230: Suspension and Braking
The bike is equipped with a telescopic front fork offering 220 mm of travel and a Uni-Trak rear suspension with 223 mm of travel and an adjustable nitrogen-gas shock. Braking is provided by a 290 mm front petal disc with a dual-piston caliper and a 230 mm rear petal disc with a single-piston caliper.
2026 Kawasaki KLX230: Features
The KLX230 comes with a stacked dual-LED headlight, a digital LCD instrument panel with speedometer, odometer, dual trip meters, fuel gauge and clock. It runs on 2.75-21 front and 4.10-18 rear tyres. The fuel tank capacity is 7.5 litres.
