Jeep Introduces Compass Anniversary Edition In India Priced At Rs 25.26 Lakh

American automaker Jeep has launched the Anniversary Edition of its entry level SUV, Compass in India. The company has launched the Compass Anniversary Edition priced at Rs 25.26 lakh (ex-showroom). Sharing this update the company stated that this is a limited edition model and the units of this special edition SUV will be limited.

The recently launched Jeep Compass Anniversary Edition comes with notable changes. It features dual-tone decals on the bonnet and front grille; the company is referring to these decals as the Velvet Red.

The Velvet Red theme is carried forward on the inside as well where the Compass Anniversary Edition features Velvet Red seat covers. It also gets white ambient lighting and an integrated dashcam.

The Compass Anniversary Edition is based on the Longitude (O) variant of this SUV and costs about Rs 43,000 over this variant. The Compass Longitude (O) variant has a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 24.83 lakh.

Currently Jeep is offering the Compass in the Indian market with a 2.0 L diesel engine. This engine generates 167.67 bhp and 350 Nm of torque. This engine is offered with two transmission options. The transmission options on offer include - a 6-speed manual transmission and a 9-speed automatic transmission. This engine is a very well recognised engine in India it is also seen carrying out duties in the Tata Harrier, MG Hector, Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus. Jeep is world renowned for making extremely capable SUVs and the Compass is no different as the company offers this SUV with the option of a full-fledged 4WD system.
