Kia Syros SUV Globally Unveiled In India: Engine, Power, Safety, Features & More

South Korean automaker, Kia has launched another compact SUV in India; the new Syros. Kia took inspiration from the Greek island, Syros while naming its new compact SUV that has been launched in the Indian market. The South Korean automaker’s introduction of the Syros marks an addition to Kia’s SUV portfolio including the Seltos and the Sonet. The bookings of the Kia Syros will commence from January 3, 2025.

The Kia Syros will be available with two engine options: a 1.0L Smartstream TGDI turbo petrol engine producing 118.36 bhp and 172 Nm of torque and a diesel engine, 1.5 CRDi engine producing 114.41 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. Kia claims that the Syros is the first car in its portfolio to receive a manual transmission in the turbo petrol variant in place of an intelligent manual transmission (iMT) that the Seltos, Sonet and Carens get.

The Kia Syros will boast Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) which will include features such as blind spot monitoring, lane assist system and smart cruise control with stop/start. Moreover, the Kia Syros will be equipped with 20 standard safety features and 16 autonomous active and passive features including driver attention warning system and high beam assist to name a few. The newly introduced compact SUV will feature six airbags.

Kia Syros will feature a 30-inch trinity panoramic display including the infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. Additionally, the car features dual-tone interiors and seating. Furthermore, the compact SUV will be equipped with ventilated seats for both rows with 60:40 split for the rear seats. Moreover, the Kia Syros will also feature a panoramic sunroof.
