Kinetic Watts and Volts, part of the Kinetic Group, has launched a new manufacturing facility in Maharashtra, covering approximately 87,000 square feet. This facility features automated assembly lines and robotics, emphasizing energy management practices. It aims to bolster electric vehicle production, facilitating a transition from internal combustion vehicles to cleaner electric alternatives. The plant will cater to personal and fleet vehicle manufacturing while exploring export opportunities. Vice Chairman Ajinkya Firodia noted this development signifies a commitment to innovation and sustainable mobility in India.

Kinetic Watts and Volts, the electric mobility division of the Kinetic Group has today announced that it has opened a new manufacturing facility in the Ahilya Nagar region of Maharashtra. Sharing this update the company shared that this facility spans across an area of approx. 87,000 square feet.
The information shared by the company highlights that this facility gets automated assembly lines, digital operations and robotics-based systems. The company has also included energy and resource management practices at the site.
The company has outlined that this facility has been set up with the vision to support vehicle production and meet various manufacturing requirements.
The company revealed that this newly inaugurated facility is part of Kinetic's plan to contribute to the shift from internal combustion vehicles (ICE) to electric alternatives. This move will aid in accelerating the shift from internal combustion to cleaner mobility solutions.
The company also shared that it intends to use this plant to produce vehicles for personal use and fleet-based applications. Kinetic Watts and Volts is also examining the potential for exporting vehicles produced at the facility. The plant is expected to support the company’s goal of participating in electric vehicle manufacturing and distribution from India.
