2026 Renault Kwid Launched in India at Rs 4.52 Lakh: Check Price, Variants, Design, Features and More

The Indian division of the French automaker Renault has today launched the 2026 Kwid with updated variant lineup and design. Now the Kwid is available in two broad trim levels - Evolution and Climber starting from Rs 4.52 lakh (ex-showroom). The Kwid is an entry-level hatchback from Renault and it competes with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 and others in the market.

Renault has launched the Kwid in an ex-showroom price range of Rs 4.52 to Rs 5.60 lakh. Launching this car Renault revealed that customers booking the Kwid Climber MT via the company's official online retail platform will receive a cash benefit of up to Rs 15,000.

The biggest change for the 2026 model is the streamlined variant line-up. Renault has discontinued the earlier four-variant structure in favour of just Evolution and Climber trims. The feature list remains largely unchanged, with the update primarily focusing on simplifying the product portfolio.

On the outside, the hatchback now carries Renault's new corporate logo, while the Climber variant receives redesigned dual-tone wheel covers. The Kwid boasts 184 mm ground clearance and 279-litre boot space.

On the inside, the Kwid continues to offer an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a fully digital instrument cluster, rear-view camera with guidelines, remote keyless entry, power steering, power windows, Bluetooth and USB connectivity. The Climber trim further gets dual-tone interiors and exclusive exterior styling elements.

The 2026 Kwid retains the same 1.0L 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 68bhp and 91Nm of torque. This engine is available with a 5-speed MT and 5-speed AMT options.

On the safety front, the hatchback comes with 17 standard safety features, including dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, seat belt reminders and a rear parking camera. Six airbags, however, are still not available across the range.
