Audi Concept C: Design
The Concept C combines elements from several Audi models and historic race cars. The silhouette of this car has shades of previous sports cars like the TT and R8. It gets design cues such as the vertical grille reference the 1936 Auto Union Type C. Other inspirations include the 1991 Avus concept, the Rosemeyer prototype and even the endurance-spec R8 LMS.
At the front, the coupe features a narrow vertical grille with integrated radar housing and quad-element LED headlights. The rear is defined by a rounded profile with slim tail lamps and three horizontal slats replacing a traditional rear window. The removable roof system allows the car to function both as a coupe and as a hardtop roadster.
Audi has disclosed the car’s dimensions: 178 inches long, 78 inches wide, and 50.3 inches tall, riding on a 101.1-inch wheelbase. In size, it sits closer to the R8 than the TT. It also rides on two-tone 21-inch wheels. Weighing about 3,726 pounds, the concept appears to be close to a production-ready form.
Key production-oriented features include conventional mirrors, standard tyres, and provisions for a number plate, suggesting that the transition from concept to road car is already underway.
Audi Concept C: Interior
Inside, the Concept C follows a minimalist theme Audi calls “shy tech.” The dashboard integrates a retractable 10.4-inch infotainment screen that can fold away, while physical aluminium switchgear ensures that basic functions do not rely solely on touch controls. The cabin also features metal trim elements and bucket seats designed in a single-piece structure.
Audi Concept C: Platform & Powertrain
Audi has not disclosed powertrain specifications, but industry reports indicate that the production version will share components with Porsche’s upcoming electric Boxster and Cayman models. Both rear- and all-wheel-drive layouts are expected, supported by an 800-volt architecture for faster charging.
Audi Concept C: Next-Gen ‘TT’
The Concept C is likely to fill the void left by the discontinued TT and R8, while also introducing Audi’s new design philosophy under Chief Creative Officer Massimo Frascella. The vertical grille and four-element light signature seen here are set to define future Audi models across different body styles.
