Tata Motors has revealed new details of the upcoming Sierra EV ahead of its scheduled debut on June 30th 2026, confirming that the electric SUV will be offered with a dual-motor Quad Wheel Drive (QWD) setup. The latest teaser provides the clearest look yet at the production-spec model and highlights its off-road capability, while also confirming key mechanical details.
Tata Sierra EV QWD
A close look at the latest teaser shows a QWD Dual Motor badge on the tailgate, confirming that the Sierra EV will feature Tata's all-wheel-drive technology. Similar to the recently launched Harrier EV, the system is expected to use separate electric motors on the front and rear axles. While lower variants are likely to feature a single-motor setup, the dual-motor configuration is expected to be paired with the larger battery pack and is likely to be offered in higher trims.
Tata Sierra EV: Design
Although the Sierra EV shares its overall silhouette with the upcoming internal combustion engine (ICE) version, it gets several EV-specific styling changes. The front fascia features a closed-off grille treatment along with revised bumper detailing and EV-specific accents.
Other design highlights include a full-width LED light bar, slim headlamps, vertically stacked lighting elements and a distinctive glasshouse design that pays homage to the original Sierra. The rear section remains largely similar to the ICE model, apart from Sierra.ev badging and EV-specific detailing.
Tata Sierra EV: Expected Battery Pack Options
Battery pack options are expected to include 65 kWh and 75 kWh units. The electric SUV is likely to be offered in both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations. While official figures are yet to be announced, the Sierra EV is expected to offer a driving range of over 500 km on a full charge.
Tata Sierra EV: Expected Features
On the inside the cabin, the Sierra EV is expected to feature a layout similar to the model showcased previously at auto exhibitions. Top-spec variants are likely to get a triple-screen dashboard comprising a digital instrument cluster, central infotainment system and passenger display.
Other expected features include a panoramic sunroof, powered and ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, connected car technology, ambient lighting, JBL audio system, augmented reality head-up display and a suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
Tata Sierra EV: Expected Price
The Sierra EV is expected to be positioned between the Curvv EV and Harrier EV in the electric vehicle line-up of Tata Motors. The Sierra EV is expected to be launched in an ex-showroom price range of Rs 14.99 to Rs 23 lakh.
