Taniya ChopraMahindra has launched the Thar OG, a rugged lifestyle SUV. It has a commanding road presence. It is available with petrol and diesel engines, manual and automatic transmission and 4x2 and 4x4 configurations. Mahindra Thar OG price starts at ₹10.32 Lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to ₹17.80 Lakh (ex-showroom).

Mahindra Thar OG retains its signature neo-retro design with broad shoulders and a distinctive silhouette. Key exterior highlights include a body-coloured front grille, C-shaped DRLs, LED headlamps, LED tail lamps and dual-tone bumpers.

Mahindra Thar OG gets 19-inch all-terrain tyres designed to provide grip across loose gravel, sand and wet tarmac. The SUV is also offered with R19 alloy wheels with a Stardust Grey Satin finish and diamond-cut design.

Mahindra Thar OG has part-time 4WD with high- and low-range reduction gears, along with dedicated Mud, Sand and Snow terrain modes. It also gets an Electronic Locking Differential to help tackle challenging surfaces.

Inside, the Mahindra Thar OG gets leatherette seats with perforations, a height-adjustable driver's seat, rear armrests with cupholders, rear AC vents and dedicated luggage-compartment lighting. The rear seats can also fold flat to expand storage space. The SUV gets a 26.03cm HD touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Safety features of Mahindra Thar OG include ESP with Rollover Mitigation, Hill Hold, Hill Descent Control, ISOFIX mounts, an interior roll cage and six airbags.
