HEID To Launch Battery Swap Service For Honda 'ACTIVA e:' Starting February 2025
Honda Power Pack Energy India (HEID) will launch its e:Swap battery swapping service for the newly introduced Honda ACTIVA e: in Bengaluru from February 2025, followed by Delhi and Mumbai in April 2025. HEID To Launch Battery Swap Service For Honda 'ACTIVA e:' Starting February 2025
Honda Power Pack Energy India Private Limited (HEID), a subsidiary of Honda Motor Co., Ltd.’s for battery swap service has announced to start the operation of Honda e:Swap services for ACTIVA e: launched by Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Private Limited (HMSI) in Bengaluru from February 2025 and in New Delhi and Mumbai from April 2025 onwards. In August 2024 HEID raised additional Rs 2.2 billion funding for the expansion of business.
Yesterday, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) finally marked its entry into the electric vehicle (EV) space, having revealed two new electric scooters - Activa e and QC1. The two scooters might feature a similar design, but a closer look and the spec sheets reveal big differences. Let's take a look at the top 5 biggest differences between the new Honda Activa e and QC1.
Honda has used swappable battery technology for the Activa e:, that will gives users access to quick recharges via designated stations in Bengaluru and Delhi. The QC1, on the other hand, is equipped with a home charger that can fully charge the scooter in under 7 hours.
Both models Honda Activa e: and Honda QC1 will be produced at Honda’s Narsapura plant in Karnataka. Deliveries for both the scooters will begin in February 2025, starting with select cities like Delhi, Bengaluru and Mumbai. Honda is offering a three-year warranty and free roadside assistance for the first year.
HEID has already set up its battery exchangers (Honda Power Pack Exchanger e:) at strategic locations by partnering with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC), Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited and HMSI dealerships, and operated them for two wheelers and Electric auto rickshaws which applies Honda Mobile Power Pack e:
