Key Highlights:
Honda Elevate facelift to launch in India on October 6- Gets revised front design with new LED DRLs and grille
- 360-degree camera and lighter cabin expected
- Mechanical changes are unlikely
Honda Elevate Facelift: New Front Design
The latest teaser reveals several changes to the front of the Elevate facelift. The SUV is expected to get a redesigned grille with horizontal, segmented LED DRLs integrated into it. The Honda logo has also been moved from the grille to the bonnet. The chrome element above the grille appears to get a contrasting finish, while the teaser also shows what seems to be a new grey exterior colour. A 360-degree camera is also visible in the teaser.
However, some elements are likely to remain unchanged. The main LED headlamps, eyebrow-style DRLs and 17-inch alloy wheels appear similar to those on the outgoing model.
Honda Elevate Facelift: Interior and Rear Updates
Honda had previously teased the rear profile of the updated SUV, revealing a connected light bar along with some changes to the grille area. Inside, the Elevate facelift is expected to get a lighter colour theme instead of the current tan interior. The cabin update is similar to the treatment seen on the recently updated Honda City. The SUV is also expected to get ambient lighting across the dashboard and door pads, adding a more premium touch to the cabin.
Honda Elevate Facelift: Expected Powertrain
Despite the styling and feature updates, the Honda Elevate facelift is not expected to receive major mechanical changes. The SUV is likely to continue with the existing powertrain options. Honda is expected to reveal the complete variant lineup, features and prices at the launch.
Once launched, the updated Honda Elevate will continue to compete in the midsize SUV segment. Its rivals will include the Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun and the upcoming Tata Sierra.
With the facelift, Honda is expected to focus mainly on improving the Elevate's styling, cabin experience and feature list rather than making major changes to its mechanical package.
