How does the price of the Z1100 compare with other models in the Kawasaki lineup?
The Z1100 made its global debut in September 2025 and the company has brought this motorcycle to the Indian shores in a very short span of time which is actually commendable. The Kawasaki Z1100 continues the Z lineage with a familiar silhouette but updated mechanicals and electronics. It’s not a reinvention of the series, but a steady evolution; one that keeps the focus on the raw, mechanical essence that the Z badge has stood for since 1972.
2026 Kawasaki Z1100: Design
Kawasaki’s signature Sugomi design continues to define the Z1100’s stance — compact, crouched, and forward-leaning. The twin-pod LED headlamps, muscular tank, and short tail section preserve the Z-series visual DNA, while sharper contours and tighter proportions give it a cleaner, more purposeful appearance. The design may look familiar, but the details have been reworked to convey precision rather than aggression.
2026 Kawasaki Z1100: Powertrain
The Z1100 is powered by a 1,099cc inline-four engine shared with the Ninja 1100SX. It delivers 134.14 bhp and 113 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch.
2026 Kawasaki Z1100: Built
Built on the same twin-tube aluminium frame as the Ninja 1100SX, the Z1100 features fully adjustable Showa suspension at both ends. The SE variant upgrades the rear to an Ohlins S46 monoshock with a remote preload adjuster. Braking hardware consists of dual 310mm front discs with radial-mount Tokico calipers and a 260mm rear disc. The SE variant adds Brembo M4.32 calipers and steel-braided lines for improved feel.
