The Anantapur plant, operational since 2019, is Kia’s first manufacturing facility in India and supports both domestic sales and exports. The Seltos has been produced at this location since its first generation and continues to be a key model for the brand in the Indian market.
The new-generation Seltos is built on Kia’s K3 platform and has grown in size. It measures 4,460 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width and 1,635 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,690 mm, which is 80 mm longer than before. Kia states that these dimensions make it the longest model in its segment.
In terms of design, the updated Seltos features Kia’s latest Digital Tiger Face, Ice Cube LED headlamps, Star Map LED daytime running lights and connected LED tail lamps. Depending on the variant, it also gets features such as flush door handles, a panoramic dual-pane sunroof and 18-inch alloy wheels. The X-Line styling pack is available on select GTX variants.
Inside, the cabin layout has been revised with the Trinity Panoramic Display, which combines a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen. Other available features include powered and ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control with a touchscreen interface, ambient lighting and a 447-litre boot.
The 2026 Kia Seltos will be offered in four standard trims - HTE, HTK, HTX and GTX along with four option variants: HTE(O), HTK(O), HTX(A) and GTX(A). Kia is also offering additional packages such as Convenience, Premium and ADAS.
Powertrain options remain unchanged. Engine choices include a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual, iMT, CVT, 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and a 6-speed automatic, depending on the variant. All versions are front-wheel drive and come with disc brakes on all wheels.
With production now underway and pricing due in early January, the new-generation Kia Seltos is set to enter the Indian midsize SUV segment in 2026.
Gwanggu Lee, Managing Director & CEO, Kia India said, “The roll-out of the All-New Kia Seltos marks a proud milestone for Kia India. Seltos has long set benchmarks in the mid-SUV segment, and this new generation represents a bigger, bolder, and more progressive evolution shaped by insights from Indian customers. The Anantapur team, together with our supplier partners, have done an outstanding job in delivering our customers a great looking, significantly bigger, technologically progressive and safe vehicle with impressive functionality and connectivity.”
