Bajaj Auto appears to be preparing to enter a new segment of the motorcycle market. A new dual-sport-style motorcycle from the Indian two-wheeler maker has been spotted testing on Indian roads several times, revealing what could be an upcoming sub-250cc offering aimed at riders looking for a mix of everyday usability and off-road capability.
Key Highlights:
  • Bajaj’s new dual-sport-style motorcycle has been spotted testing multiple times in India.
  • The upcoming bike is expected to feature a sub-250cc engine.
  • It gets spoke wheels, long-travel suspension, a high-mounted exhaust and a TFT display.
  • Global debut could take place in Brazil later this year, while India launch may happen in 2027.
While Bajaj has not officially confirmed the motorcycle, reports suggest that the new model could eventually take on bikes such as the KTM 250 Adventure and Hero XPulse range.
The latest test mule appears to follow a more traditional dual-sport design rather than the conventional adventure tourer styling seen on many modern motorcycles. It features a high-mounted front fender, a tall and relatively flat seat, along with a high-set exhaust.
The motorcycle also appears to use long-travel suspension, which should help improve its ability to handle rough roads and trails. Spoke wheels shod with Pirelli MT60 tyres were also visible on the test bike, further highlighting its dual-purpose intentions.
Disc brakes have been provided at both ends, with ABS also expected to be part of the package. The test motorcycle was additionally seen with a rear-mounted top box, which could be offered as an official accessory.

TFT Display and Modern Features Expected

Despite its rugged appearance, Bajaj's upcoming motorcycle could come with several modern features. The test mule was equipped with a projector-style headlamp, likely using LED lighting, along with a digital TFT instrument cluster.
Bluetooth connectivity could also be offered, potentially bringing features such as turn-by-turn navigation and smartphone connectivity.

Sub-250cc Engine Likely

Bajaj has not revealed any technical details about the motorcycle yet. However, recent reports suggest that it could use a sub-250cc, air/oil-cooled engine.
If positioned in this segment, the motorcycle could compete with entry-level adventure and dual-purpose bikes, including the KTM 250 Adventure and Hero XPulse 210.

Global Debut in Brazil, India Launch Could Follow in 2027

According to recent media reports, Bajaj could unveil the new motorcycle globally in Brazil towards the end of this year. The India launch is currently expected sometime in 2027, although Bajaj is yet to announce an official timeline.
More details about the motorcycle, including its engine specifications, features and positioning, should emerge closer to its global debut.
