Hyundai Motor India is set to make its cars slightly more expensive next month. The Korean carmaker has announced a price hike of up to 1 percent across its entire portfolio, with the revised prices coming into effect in September 2026. The company has attributed the increase to rising input and commodity costs, higher operating expenses and ongoing geopolitical and macroeconomic uncertainties.
Key Highlights:
Hyundai Motor India will increase prices across its entire model range from September 2026.- Prices will rise by up to 1%, depending on the model and variant.
- The company has cited rising input costs, operational expenses and economic uncertainties.
- This will be Hyundai's third price hike in 2026 after revisions in January and June.
The price increase will vary depending on the model and variant. Based on the current prices, the hike could range from around Rs 7,767 to Rs 23,672, depending on the vehicle.
Rising Costs Behind Hyundai Price Hike
Hyundai said it has been working to absorb increasing costs and optimise expenses to reduce the impact on customers. However, continued cost pressures have now made a partial price revision necessary.
The company has pointed to higher input and commodity costs, rising operational expenses and broader geopolitical and macroeconomic uncertainties as the key reasons behind the latest hike.
Hyundai said the latest revision is a marginal increase and represents only a part of the additional costs being faced by the company.
Third Hyundai Price Hike in 2026
The September revision will be Hyundai's third price hike in India this year. The carmaker had previously increased prices in January and again in June 2026.
