Kia Seltos GTX(O), X-Line(O) Launched in India at Rs 21.56 Lakh: Here's All You Need to Know
Kia India has strengthened its presence in the highly competitive mid-size SUV segment with the launch of two new top-end variants of the Seltos. The new GTX(O) and X-Line(O) variants have been introduced with additional premium features and an upgraded safety package, with prices starting at Rs 21.56 lakh (ex-showroom).
Key Highlights:
- The updated top-spec Seltos variants now offer 28 advanced safety features.
- The SUV gets new features like Kia Connect 2.0 with 85+ connected car functions.
- The new variants continue with the existing 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines.
Kia Seltos Gets Advanced ADAS F+ Package
The biggest update on the new Seltos GTX(O) and X-Line(O) variants is the introduction of Kia’s new ADAS F+ package. While the earlier top-spec versions already offered a Level 2 ADAS system with 21 safety functions, the updated variants now come equipped with 28 advanced driver assistance features.
The additional ADAS functions include Front Collision Avoidance Assist with Junction Crossing, Lane Change Oncoming and Lane Change Side assistance, Evasive Steering Assist, Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control for curves and speed-restricted zones, and Highway Driving Assist.
Kia says these upgrades are designed to improve driver assistance in everyday city traffic as well as during long highway journeys. The Seltos is built on Kia’s India-first global K3 platform, which recently helped the SUV secure a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating.
More Premium Features Added to Kia Seltos
Along with the upgraded safety technology, Kia has also added several new convenience features to the GTX(O) and X-Line(O) variants. The SUV now comes with the Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) featuring built-in navigation, along with Kia Connect 2.0 offering over 85 connected car functions.
Other technology upgrades include voice-enabled controls supporting multiple Indian regional languages and a Digital Key feature.
The new variants also get a Smart Windshield Head-Up Display, Smart Air Purifier with AQI display, rain-sensing wipers, and a Smart Dashcam with front and rear cameras that can be accessed through a smartphone application.
Kia has also added one-touch auto up and down functionality with anti-pinch protection for all four power windows.
Existing Premium Features Continue
Apart from the new additions, the Seltos GTX(O) and X-Line(O) continue to offer the premium equipment already available on the previous top variants.
The cabin features Kia’s Trinity Panoramic Display, which includes dual 12.3-inch screens for the infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. Other highlights include an 8-speaker Bose premium audio system, 64-colour ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, a 10-way electrically adjustable driver seat with memory function, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, OTA updates, wireless charger, 360-degree camera, Blind View Monitor, and an electronic parking brake.
Engine Options Remain Unchanged
Mechanically, Kia has not made any changes to the new top-spec variants. The Seltos GTX(O) and X-Line(O) continue with the existing engine options.
The SUV is available with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 160 PS and 253 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The second option is the 1.5-litre diesel engine, which delivers 116 PS and 250 Nm of torque and comes with a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
With the new variants, Kia Seltos now offers a stronger combination of premium features, advanced safety technology, and performance, giving it a better chance to compete against rivals in India’s crowded mid-size SUV market.
