Feature Update in July 2025
In July 2025, KTM added cruise control to the 390 Adventure X, bringing it closer to the feature set of the standard 390 Adventure. Along with this, the motorcycle received additional electronic aids such as cornering ABS, cornering traction control and three ride modes—Street, Rain and Off-Road. KTM also updated the switchgear to the same unit used on the standard model so that riders could operate the cruise control system directly from the handlebar.
KTM 390 Adventure X: Hardware and Equipment
The mechanical components of the KTM 390 Adventure X remain unchanged. The motorcycle continues to use non-adjustable suspension paired with a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel. It retains a ground clearance of 228mm and a seat height of 825mm. Features such as the TFT instrument display, ride-by-wire system, Quickshifter+, switchable ABS, slipper clutch and USB charger continue to be part of the equipment list.
KTM 390 Adventure X: Engine and Specifications
The KTM 390 Adventure X continues to be powered by the 398.63cc single-cylinder engine, producing 45.3 bhp at 8500 rpm and 39 Nm of torque at 6500 rpm paired with a 6 speed gearbox with Quickshifter. Suspension travel remains at 200 mm at the front and 205 mm at the rear. The motorcycle has a wheelbase of 1470 mm, kerb weight of 181 kg and comes with a 14.5-litre fuel tank. Braking duties are handled by a 320 mm disc at the front and a 240 mm disc at the rear.
GST Context
The price increase also comes after the GST rate for motorcycles above 350cc was raised from 28% to 40%. At the time of the revision, KTM had said it would keep the old ex-showroom prices for all its 390cc bikes, including the 390 Duke, RC 390 and 390 Adventure models. That earlier decision delayed the effect of the tax change, and the current hike reflects the adjustment that was expected.
