Mahindra Crosses 4 Lakh Commercial EV Sales Milestone
Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 4,00,000 cumulative electric vehicle sales. Mahindra emphasizes the growing adoption of electric three-wheelers and small vehicles in last-mile mobility segment.
Mahindra Crosses 4 Lakh Commercial EV Sales Milestone
Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited (MLMML) has crossed the 4 lakh cumulative electric vehicle sales milestone in India. With this, the company has become the first commercial vehicle manufacturer in the country to achieve the feat. Mahindra has also retained its position as India’s No. 1 electric commercial vehicle manufacturer for the fourth consecutive financial year.
The milestone comes at a time when electric three-wheelers and small commercial vehicles are witnessing increasing adoption in India's last-mile mobility segment. Mahindra says its electric vehicles have collectively covered more than 9 billion kilometres across passenger and cargo applications.
According to the company, its electric vehicle fleet has helped avoid approximately 1.85 lakh metric tonnes of CO₂ emissions over the distance covered so far.
Mahindra says the environmental impact is equivalent to the carbon absorption capacity of more than 8.3 million trees. However, the company maintains that the adoption of electric commercial vehicles is being driven primarily by their operating economics and their ability to support customers' daily earnings.
The company has focused on developing EVs that can cater to the requirements of drivers, delivery partners, shopkeepers and small businesses, while also investing in financing, customer support and partnerships.
Electric Vehicle Portfolio
Mahindra Last Mile Mobility's current electric vehicle portfolio includes the Treo range, UDO, Zor Grand, ZEO and e-Alfa. These models cater to both passenger and cargo transportation requirements in the last-mile segment.
The company has continued to expand its EV portfolio while strengthening the supporting ecosystem around electric commercial mobility.
During FY26, Mahindra introduced the UDO, which gets an aerodynamic design and a reverse throttle system. The company claims the electric three-wheeler can deliver a real-world range of up to 200 km.
Mahindra EV Sales FY26
Mahindra Last Mile Mobility crossed another significant milestone during FY26 by selling more than 1 lakh electric vehicles in a single financial year. This made it the first commercial vehicle manufacturer in India to achieve the feat.
The company's cumulative EV sales stood at more than 3.4 lakh units at the end of FY26. It has now crossed the 4 lakh mark in August 2026. Mahindra also holds a 39.7 percent market share in the L5 electric three-wheeler segment, according to the company. Following the latest sales milestone, MLMML is now targeting 1 million electric vehicles on Indian roads by 2031.
The company believes the next phase of growth will be supported by continued investments in electric products, financing solutions, customer support and partnerships. The focus remains on making EV adoption commercially viable for last-mile users.
Official Statement
Suman Mishra, Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited said, "4 Lakh is not just a number for us — it is 4 Lakh livelihoods we helped power every single day. This milestone belongs to the drivers and entrepreneurs who chose electric, and to the partners and teams who made electric mobility a practical choice for India’s last mile economy.
