Mahindra is gearing up for another major showcase on August 15, with several new and upcoming models expected to take centre stage. While the company has already teased the new BE 6 Sporteq Edition, and the Vision S is also expected to be showcased, another model could make its appearance at the event - the Scorpio N-based pickup truck.
Key Highlights:
  • Mahindra could showcase the Scorpio N-based pickup on August 15
  • Pickup gets a different front-end design compared to the Scorpio N SUV
  • Expected to use the 2.2-litre diesel engine with manual and automatic options
  • BE 6 Sporteq and Vision S are also expected at Mahindra’s Independence Day event
Also known as the Global Pik Up, the pickup has been spotted in near-production form during testing. With its latest sighting revealing more details about its design, Mahindra could use its Independence Day event to give the model its first major public appearance.

Mahindra Scorpio N Pickup: Design

Although the pickup shares its underpinnings with the Scorpio N, its exterior design is expected to be noticeably different. The latest test mule appears to feature a larger grille compared to the SUV, along with slimmer headlamps.
The rear section has also been redesigned to suit its pickup truck body style. It gets a large cargo bed that could offer a size similar to the one seen on the Toyota Hilux, although Mahindra's upcoming pickup is not expected to directly compete with the Hilux in all markets.
The overall design is expected to retain some Scorpio N elements while giving the pickup a more rugged and utility-focused appearance.

Mahindra Scorpio N Pickup: Interior

The cabin of the Scorpio N-based pickup is expected to share several components and features with the updated Scorpio N SUV. These could include a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, digital instrument cluster, 540-degree panoramic view camera, physical air-conditioning controls and USB Type-C ports.
The pickup is also expected to get a similar equipment list, although Mahindra could add some features specifically aimed at improving its practicality and off-road capability.

Scorpio N Pickup: Engine

Under the bonnet, the Global Pik Up is likely to use Mahindra's familiar 2.2-litre diesel engine. In the Scorpio N, this engine produces 172bhp, with the manual version developing 370Nm and the automatic version producing 400Nm of peak torque.
The pickup could also be offered with both 4x2 and 4x4 drivetrain options, making it suitable for both everyday use and off-road applications.

Mahindra's August 15 Event Could be Packed

Mahindra has built a tradition of using its Independence Day event to showcase important upcoming products, concepts and technologies. This year is expected to follow the same strategy, with several new models potentially making an appearance.
The BE 6 Sporteq Edition has already been teased and is confirmed for August 15. The Vision S is also expected to be showcased, while the BE 07 could be another highlight of the event.
The Scorpio N-based pickup could therefore add another major attraction to Mahindra's 2026 Independence Day showcase. The company has not yet confirmed the complete list of models that will be displayed, so more details are expected to emerge closer to the event.
