Mahindra XUV3XO CNG: What's New?
The Mahindra XUV3XO ZNG is built around a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol MPFI engine, specifically engineered as a bi-fuel unit. To address common concerns regarding performance loss in CNG vehicles, Mahindra has implemented a 10-bar injection pressure system, which the company states is significantly higher than the industry standard of 5-6 bar. Consequently, the powertrain produces 114.5PS of peak power and 200Nm of peak torque, with the manufacturer reporting a fuel efficiency figure of 24.7 km/kg.Mahindra XUV3XODual-Cylinder CNG
A primary highlight of the ZNG variant is its dual-cylinder storage solution. By splitting the CNG storage into two smaller tanks, Mahindra has managed to preserve a significant portion of the boot space, a common pain point in single-tank CNG conversions. The vehicle also retains its spare wheel, which is mounted under the body to maintain cargo utility. To accommodate the additional weight of the CNG hardware, the vehicle’s semi-independent rear suspension has been re-tuned.Mahindra XUV3XO: Performance
In terms of performance, the XUV3XO ZNG is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 kmph in approximately 4.9 seconds, with a 0 to 100 kmph sprint time of 11.8 seconds. The driver interface includes a dedicated CNG-petrol toggle switch located on the dashboard, and the instrument cluster has been updated to display both fuel levels and relevant trip computer data for both fuel sources.Mahindra XUV3XO: Safety
Safety remains a priority for the manufacturer, with the ZNG variant incorporating a reinforced chassis designed to maintain a 5-star crash safety rating despite the added CNG equipment. Standard safety features across the range include six airbags, seatbelt reminders for all occupants, and disc brakes on all four wheels.Maruti Suzuki FRONX ₹ 6.84 Lakh - ₹ 11.97 Lakh
