Maruti Suzuki Registers Over 37 Percent Growth in December 2025
Maruti Suzuki concluded December 2025 with significant growth in car sales, achieving over a 37 percent increase compared to the previous year. The company sold over 2,04,000 units of passenger vehicles, marking a rise of nearly 22 percent year-on-year. Domestic sales reached approximately 1,78,600 units, reflecting a 37.29 percent increase. However, exports saw a decline, with around 25,700 units shipped, down 31.21 percent from December 2024. The favorable GST changes have positively impacted Maruti Suzuki's sales performance in India.

Maruti Suzuki has closed 2025 on a high note posting an impressive growth in monthly car sales of over 37 percent. Maruti Suzuki is the biggest carmaker in India when it comes to volumes. Maruti Suzuki has been the undisputed leader in the Indian market for several decades, in terms of production and sales. The recent change in GST structure has further benefitted the automaker. The sales data shared by Maruti Suzuki indicates that it managed to sell over 2.04 lakh units of passenger vehicles last month.

In December 2025 Maruti Suzuki managed to sell a total of 204,385 units of passenger vehicles (including PVs sold domestically plus exports from India). This sales figure represents an increase in year-on-year total monthly passenger vehicle sales by 36,849 units which further translates into a 21.99 percent growth in year-on-year total monthly passenger vehicle sales. In December 2024 Maruti Suzuki posted a total passenger vehicle sales of 1,67,536 units.
Last month Maruti Suzuki managed to sell 1,78,646 units of passenger vehicles in the Indian domestic market. This sales figure represents a year-on-year increase in monthly domestic passenger vehicles sales by 48,529 units which further translates into a 37.29 percent growth in year-on-year monthly domestic passenger vehicle sales. In December 2024 Maruti Suzuki posted a domestic passenger vehicle sales of 1,30,117 units.
In December 2025 Maruti Suzuki exported 25,739 units of passenger vehicles from India. This represents a year-on-year fall in monthly passenger vehicle exports by 11,680 units which further translates into a 31.21 percent year-on-year decline in monthly passenger vehicle exports. In December 2024 Maruti Suzuki exported 37,419 units of passenger vehicles.
