Renault India is all set to introduce the facelifted version of its popular entry-level hatchback, the Kwid , on July 3. The updated model is expected to arrive with a refreshed design, new features and styling upgrades inspired by the Dacia Spring EV.

Renault Kwid Facelift: Design and Exterior Updates

The 2026 Renault Kwid facelift is expected to receive a major design makeover, especially at the front. The hatchback will continue with the split headlamp setup, but it is likely to get new Y-shaped LED daytime running lights similar to the latest Renault Duster.
The front bumper is expected to be redesigned, giving the Kwid a sharper and more modern look. At the rear, the hatchback could feature new taillights with Y-shaped internal elements along with an updated bumper. Renault is also expected to introduce a new alloy wheel design as part of the exterior updates.

Renault Kwid Facelift: Interior and Features

The cabin of the facelifted Kwid is expected to get a refreshed layout with several feature upgrades. The hatchback could come with a larger touchscreen infotainment system, possibly around 10 inches, along with a new steering wheel and an updated instrument cluster.
The dashboard design is likely to take inspiration from the Dacia Spring, giving the cabin a more premium and modern feel. Renault could also improve the safety package by offering features such as six airbags on higher variants.

Renault Kwid Facelift: Engine and Gearbox Options

Under the hood, the Renault Kwid facelift is expected to continue with the existing 1.0-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. The engine currently produces around 68 hp and 91 Nm of torque.
Transmission options are expected to remain unchanged, with a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT automatic unit likely to be offered.

Renault Kwid Facelift: Expected Price and Rivals

The facelifted Renault Kwid is expected to come with a slight price increase over the current model, which is priced between Rs 4.30 lakh and Rs 5.88 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated hatchback will continue to compete with rivals in the entry-level hatchback segment.
