The new Slavia continues with the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, which produces 114bhp and 178Nm of torque. It comes with a six-speed manual gearbox as standard. However, the earlier six-speed torque converter automatic has been replaced by a new eight-speed automatic transmission.
The sedan also continues with the larger 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine. This motor produces 148bhp and 250Nm and comes paired with a seven-speed DCT gearbox. Power is sent to the front wheels.
With the facelift, Skoda has retained the Slavia's existing engine lineup while making changes to its automatic transmission and expanding its colour and variant choices.
