Tata Motors has revived one of its most iconic nameplates with the launch of the Sierra EV in India, marking the brand’s entry into the premium electric SUV space. Built on Tata’s new acti.ev+ architecture, the Sierra EV becomes the brand’s seventh electric model and brings a combination of retro-inspired design, advanced technology, premium features and the option of a dual-motor AWD setup.

Tata Sierra EV: Dimension and Design

The Tata Sierra EV comes with a well-balanced SUV stance, measuring 4,340 mm in length, 1,841 mm in width and 1,715 mm in height. It sits on a 2,730 mm wheelbase. The electric SUV also gets 205 mm of ground clearance.
The Tata Sierra EV retains the familiar upright SUV silhouette of the ICE version but gets several EV-specific design updates to set it apart.
It features a closed-off, body-coloured front grille, a redesigned bumper and subtle styling changes that give it a more modern electric SUV appeal. The Sierra EV also comes with newly designed 18-inch alloy wheels, aimed at improving aerodynamic efficiency. Adding to its distinct identity, the SUV gets a QWD badge highlighting its drivetrain setup while maintaining the iconic boxy stance of the Sierra family.

Tata Sierra EV: Interior Features

The Tata Sierra EV gets a tech-focused cabin similar to the ICE version, featuring a triple-screen setup with a 10.25-inch digital cluster, 12.3-inch infotainment screen and 12.3-inch passenger display. The cabin uses sustainable materials and comes loaded with features like wireless charging, air purifier, e-valet autonomous parking, ventilated seats, dual-zone climate control, powered tailgate and ambient lighting.

It also gets Dolby Atmos with Apple CarPlay through a 12-speaker JBL Black audio system, a multi-mode HUD, and safety features including Level 2 ADAS, six airbags, ESP and a 540-degree camera.

Tata Sierra EV: Colour Options

The Tata Sierra EV is available in a range of colour options inspired by different landscapes and destinations. The colour palette includes Rishikesh Rapids, Nainital Nocturn, Pristine White, Andaman Adventure, Pure Grey, Bengal Rouge and Coorg Cloud. Among these, Rishikesh Rapids and Nainital Nocturn are exclusive to the QWD variants, giving the higher-spec versions a more distinctive visual identity.

Tata Sierra EV: Range and Powertrain Options

The Tata Sierra EV comes with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup, featuring a 175 kW rear motor and a 103 kW front motor. The setup delivers a combined 504 Nm of peak torque, with multiple drive modes to optimise performance and efficiency.
The electric SUV is available with 63 kWh and 75 kWh LFP battery packs. The larger battery offers a claimed 665 km MIDC range and over 500 km real-world range, while the 63 kWh version delivers a claimed 565 km range. The Sierra EV supports 120 kW fast charging, adding over 250 km range in 15 minutes, along with V2V and V2L charging capabilities.

Tata Sierra EV: Variants and Pricing

The Tata Sierra EV is available in five variants with prices starting at Rs 18.79 lakh (ex-showroom) and going up to Rs 24.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The 63kWh RWD version is offered across Pure, Pure S, Adventure and Empowered variants, priced between Rs 18.79 lakh and Rs 22.79 lakh. The 75kWh RWD version starts from the Adventure variant at Rs 22.19 lakh, going up to Rs 24.79 lakh for the top-spec Empowered A variant.
The QWD (dual-motor AWD) setup is available exclusively on the Empowered A variant for an additional Rs 1.20 lakh, while the 7.2kW AC fast charger can be opted for at an extra cost of Rs 49,000.
