2025 Tata Sierra Launched in India at Rs 11.49 Lakh: Engine, Transmission, Colour Options, Variants and more

Tata Motors has launched the five-door Sierra in India at a starting introductory price of Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The model is spread across seven variants and multiple powertrains.

The 2025 Sierra carries a boxy outline with connected LED DRLs and projector headlamps. The front section also includes black bumper inserts and pixel-style fog lamps. The side profile features flush door handles, roof rails, black cladding and 19-inch alloy wheels. A blacked-out area between the pillars recalls the original Sierra’s design. At the rear, the SUV uses a full-width LED tail light.

The Sierra has been introduced in seven variants: Smart+, Pure, Pure+, Adventure, Adventure+, Accomplished and Accomplished+. The Smart+ is the entry-level variant, while Accomplished+ sits at the top of the lineup.

The Tata Sierra gets three engine options: the 1.5L turbo-petrol unit that produces 158bhp and 255Nm of torque, paired exclusively with the 6-speed automatic gearbox, the 1.5L NA petrol engine developing 105bhp and 145Nm of torque, it is available with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed DCA and the 1.5L diesel engine producing 116bhp and 280Nm of torque, this engine comes with 6-speed manual and 7-speed automatic transmission options.

The Tata Sierra’s cabin uses a black-and-grey theme and incorporates a triple-screen layout across the dashboard. This setup consists of a 12.3-inch infotainment system, a 12.3-inch passenger display and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The steering wheel is similar to the one offered in the Curvv and includes tilt and telescopic adjustment along with an illuminated logo.

The seats use dual-tone upholstery, ventilated front leatherette seats, a thigh-support extender and a six-way powered driver’s seat with memory function. It gets a front sliding armrest with storage, an illuminated cooled glovebox and sunvisors with illuminated vanity mirrors are also part of the cabin equipment. It also sports dual-zone climate control with Express Cooling and a BreatheIQ air purifier with an AQI display.

The Sierra is configured as a five-seater and benefits from a long 2,730 mm wheelbase. The rear seats offers a two-stage recline function and a 60:40 split. The cabin provides 1,004 mm of headroom, 1,415 mm of shoulder room, 973 mm of legroom and a 316 mm flat floor section for easier movement. Rear passengers also get AC vents, window sunshades, adjustable headrests, an armrest and “Boss Mode”. USB-C ports are also available in the front and rear, each offering 65W charging and multimedia support.

Storage provisions include 32 usable spaces spread across the cabin, such as bottle holders, cup holders and magazine slots. The boot offers 622 litres of cargo capacity, expandable to 1,257 litres with the rear seats folded. Connectivity features include wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, built-in navigation and connected-car features.

The Sierra also offers high end audio configuration with a 12-speaker JBL Black audio system with a central speaker, subwoofer and integrated soundbar is available. The passenger display supports wireless headphones for individual content viewing.

The Tata Sierra measures 4,340 mm in length, 1,841 mm in width and 1,715 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,730 mm. The boot capacity is rated at 622 litres, which increases to 1,257 litres when the rear seats are folded. The fuel tank capacity is 50 litres.
