Tata Sierra: Design & Dimensions
The company has reintroduced the Sierra SUV in the domestic market after a hiatus of over 22 years. Tata Motors has paid homage to the iconic glass-roof design of the OG Sierra in this new design. The OG Sierra had a three-door layout, however the new Sierra sports a five-door layout. It gets a neo retro design which is reminiscent of the original car. This car has a huge panoramic glass sunroof and the top canopy behind the B-pillar reminds us of the design of the old car.
Although the design is now five-door to enhance the appeal of this SUV, it does have an uncanny resemblance to the old car with the wrap around glass design and this will surely be a positive for Millennials and Gen Z. The front design of the car has LED DRLs which run across the width of the front, bi-function LED headlamps and vertically stacked fog lamps with cornering function. On the side it gets the signature Sierra badging, flush door handles, strong lines and black cladding. The rear design has a flattish design with some 3D elements, at the rear it gets sleek connected LED tail lamps, rear spoiler which neatly hides the rear wiper and washer.
In terms of dimensions it measures 4,340 mm in length, 1,841 mm in width and 1,715 mm in height. It has a wheelbase spanning 2,730 mm and has a boot space of 622 liters.
