Tata Sierra
Tata Motors will reintroduce the Sierra nameplate on November 25, 2025. The model moves to a five-door layout and is positioned in the compact SUV category.
Exterior and Interior Layout
The Sierra retains an upright silhouette with a new full-width LED light bar, projector headlamps, flush door handles and a black roof panel referencing the earlier generation. The side profile includes roof rails, black cladding and 19-inch wheels, while the rear section receives connected tail-lamps and a dual-tone bumper.
Inside, the cabin uses a black-and-grey layout and features three 12.3-inch displays for the instrument cluster, infotainment and front passenger. Other expected features include a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, wireless charging and a 360-degree camera. Level-2 ADAS support is also likely.
Engine options
The Tata Sierra is expected with three engines:
- 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol
- 1.5L turbo-petrol (around 170 bhp/280 Nm) with manual and 7-speed DCT choices
- 1.5L diesel (around 118 bhp/260 Nm) with manual and automatic options
Expected Pricing and Rivals
The SUV may start around Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom) and will compete with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Maruti Grand Vitara, Volkswagen Taigun, Tata Curvv and Maruti Victors.

Mahindra has confirmed a Power Boss function, allowing the second-row left passenger to control the front passenger seat via a dedicated switch panel. The third-row seating has not been revealed yet, raising questions about space due to the floor-mounted battery.
Platform and Battery Choices
The EV will share its architecture with models like the BE6 and XEV 9e. Expected battery options include 59 kWh and 79 kWh packs in single-motor configurations, with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive option possible at a later stage.
