Mahindra XEV 9S Teaser Confirms Power Boss Mode
In a new teaser video, Mahindra has confirmed that the XEV 9S will offer a Power Boss function for the front passenger seat, controlled from the second-row left seat through a dedicated switch panel. Teaser material also shows a panoramic sunroof, beige interior trim and ventilated front seats. Previous previews highlighted a three-screen dashboard and an all-black cabin layout. The third-row seating has not yet been shown, raising questions about space due to the floor-mounted battery.
Exterior Design Elements
Earlier teasers indicated a stacked headlamp arrangement, a full-width rear lightbar and a high-set overall profile. A recent top-view teaser suggested a clean roof design, while new images reveal a fresh look at the rear door handle section.
Mahindra XEV 9S Platform and Mechanical Setup
The XEV 9S is Mahindra’s first three-row model built on the INGLO architecture. The vehicle is the next stage of development from the earlier XUV.e8 and XEV 7e concepts. It shares its platform with the BE6 and XEV 9e. Expected battery choices include 59kWh and 79kWh packs with single-motor configurations. A dual-motor version may be added later for all-wheel-drive capability.

In terms of safety, it is likely to come with Level 2 ADAS, seven airbags, ESP, hill-hold assist, a 360-degree camera and parking sensors. The model may also receive a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos, along with a power-adjustable driver seat with memory and toggle-type window controls.
