Mahindra XEV 9S: Interior

Interior Features Shown Earlier

Previous teasers offered a look inside the cabin, including a three-screen layout that runs across the dashboard. The interior appeared in an all-black theme. Mahindra has not yet shown the third row, which has created interest since the XEV 9S is a born-electric model. Its battery placement and three-row configuration have raised questions about available space in the last row.

Platform, Powertrain and Safety Features

The XEV 9S is based on Mahindra’s INGLO platform, shared with the XEV 9e and BE 6. It is expected to be offered with 59kWh and 79kWh battery packs with a single-motor layout. A dual-motor version may also be added for all-wheel-drive capability.
Expected safety and convenience features include Level 2 ADAS, seven airbags, ESP, hill-hold assist, a 360-degree camera and parking sensors. The SUV is also likely to offer a Harman Kardon 1,400W 16-speaker audio system with Dolby Atmos, a power-adjustable driver seat with memory and toggle-type window switches.

Launch Timeline and Positioning

Mahindra will reveal the XEV 9S on November 27 at the company’s ‘Scream Electric’ event in Bengaluru. It will be the first fully electric three-row SUV from the brand and is expected to be priced between Rs 21 lakh and Rs 30 lakh, based on the positioning of the other Born Electric models.
