KTM's New Plant in Brazil: Production and Capacity

The new facility currently employs 100 direct and indirect workers and operates on a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) basis. Under this system, motorcycles are assembled locally using imported component kits. The plant will handle several stages of production, including kit preparation, engine assembly, motorcycle assembly, quality control, packing and shipping. The facility will follow the same processes, technical requirements and quality standards used by KTM in Austria.
The new manufacturing unit is part of a broader restructuring of KTM and Husqvarna's operations in Brazil. It will bring the brands' manufacturing and commercial activities closer together, helping improve operational efficiency, product availability and support for the expanding dealership network.

KTM's Partnership With Bajaj Auto in Brazil

KTM began assembling motorcycles in Manaus in 2016 through a partnership with Dafra Motos. The opening of the new facility marks a shift towards an independent manufacturing operation dedicated exclusively to KTM and Husqvarna motorcycles.
The plant is located alongside Bajaj Auto's facility in Manaus, highlighting the growing cooperation between Bajaj and KTM.

Which KTM and Husqvarna Motorcycles Will Be Made in Brazil?

The new plant will manufacture 10 models across three segments: motocross, enduro and adventure.
In the motocross segment, production will include the KTM 250 SX-F and KTM 450 SX-F, both designed for competitive off-road riding.
The enduro range will include the KTM 250 EXC-F, KTM 350 EXC-F 6DAYS, KTM 300 EXC and KTM 300 EXC 6DAYS. Husqvarna will also manufacture the FE 350 and TE 300 PRO at the facility.
The adventure segment will be represented by the KTM 390 Adventure R and KTM 390 Adventure X. Both motorcycles were introduced to the Brazilian market in August 2026 and are scheduled to reach dealerships in October.

KTM Plans to Expand Its Brazilian Dealership Network

Alongside local manufacturing, KTM is looking to expand its sales and service network in Brazil. The company currently has 12 authorised outlets in the country and aims to increase this number to 30 by 2027.
The expansion is expected to support the availability of locally assembled motorcycles and improve customer access to the brands' products and services.
With the new plant, KTM and Husqvarna are looking to strengthen their position in Brazil through local production, improved operational efficiency and a wider dealership network. The facility is also designed to accommodate future increases in production and additional models as the market grows.
