Bengaluru-based Ultraviolette Automotive is set to launch four new electric vehicles within the next year, leveraging its new 100V VX-100 platform to enter the scooter market and expand its motorcycle lineup.

Ultraviolette Plans Four-Product Expansion on New 100V Platform

Bengaluru-based electric vehicle maker Ultraviolette Automotive is preparing to expand its product lineup with four new electric two-wheelers over the next 12 months. The upcoming models will be based on the company's new VX-100 platform, which is designed to support both electric motorcycles and scooters.
Key Highlights:
  • Ultraviolette plans to launch four new electric two-wheelers over the next 12 months.
  • The Tesseract electric scooter and Shockwave motorcycle are scheduled for Q1 2027.
  • The company aims to reach a monthly production run rate of 10,000 vehicles by October 2027.
  • Ultraviolette plans to expand its showroom network to 100 locations and enter 20 European markets.
The expansion will mark a major step for the company as it prepares to enter the electric scooter segment while updating its existing motorcycle lineup. Ultraviolette is also increasing its manufacturing capacity and expanding its dealership network to support its growth plans in India and international markets.

What is the VX-100 Platform?

The VX-100 is a new 100V architecture developed by Ultraviolette for its upcoming electric two-wheelers. The platform made its commercial debut with the X-47 Venom, which was recently launched at an introductory starting price of Rs 2.65 lakh.
According to the company, the new platform helps reduce vehicle weight and improve range. The base X-47 Venom variant, equipped with a 7.5kWh battery, weighs 180kg, which is 17kg lighter than its predecessor. The top-spec 11kWh Recon variant weighs 195kg after a weight reduction of 13kg.
The company has also reported improvements in the claimed IDC range. The base variant offers a range of 227km, while the top-spec Recon variant delivers up to 343km on a single charge.
Ultraviolette has confirmed plans to introduce four new models over the next 12 months. Among the upcoming products are the Tesseract electric scooter and the Shockwave motorcycle, both scheduled to arrive in the first quarter of 2027.
The Tesseract will mark the company's entry into the electric scooter segment, allowing it to target buyers looking for an alternative to electric motorcycles. The Shockwave, meanwhile, will expand its motorcycle portfolio. The company is also developing an updated version of the F77 sport-naked motorcycle. However, Ultraviolette has not yet revealed the specifications, features or pricing of these upcoming models.
Chief Technical Officer Niraj Rajmohan confirmed the company's four-product rollout plan, although detailed information about the remaining products is still awaited. Ultraviolette has recorded growth in retail registrations in recent months. According to VAHAN data, the company registered 694 vehicles in July 2026, marking a 406% year-on-year increase. Its monthly registrations stood at 536 units in September 2026.
The company is now working to increase production to meet its expansion targets. Rajmohan said Ultraviolette is aiming for a monthly production run rate of 1,000 vehicles, with a longer-term target of reaching 10,000 units per month by October 2027.
Achieving this target will depend on the company's ability to expand manufacturing operations and increase demand for its electric two-wheelers. The company is also preparing to enter 20 European markets. Its international expansion plans are supported by a recent USD 85 million fundraising round.
As part of its overseas push, Ultraviolette plans to showcase the X-47 Venom at EICMA 2026, one of the major international motorcycle exhibitions.
With four new models in the pipeline, higher production targets and plans to expand into international markets, Ultraviolette is preparing for its next phase of growth in the electric two-wheeler segment.
