Ultraviolette X-47 Venom: Battery, Range and Performance
The Ultraviolette X-47 Venom is the first motorcycle to use the company's new VX-100 100V platform. The platform is also expected to underpin future products from the electric two-wheeler manufacturer. The motorcycle gets an SRB-11 battery pack with 11 kWh of usable capacity. Ultraviolette claims an IDC range of 343 km on a single charge. The electric motor produces 30 kW of power, equivalent to around 40 bhp, and delivers 550 Nm of torque at the wheel.
The X-47 Venom has a claimed top speed of 155 kmph and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.9 seconds. Its weight stands at 180 kg, making it up to 20 kg lighter than the previous generation.
Ultraviolette X-47 Venom: Battery and Motor
Ultraviolette has made several changes to the battery and motor to improve performance and efficiency. The new battery pack is claimed to be 15 percent lighter and 25 percent more energy-dense than before. The battery system also gets an axial cooling arrangement instead of the earlier radial setup. According to the company, this change doubles cooling performance. The motorcycle supports DC fast charging at up to 12 kW.
The Ballistic riding mode can now operate until the battery charge drops to 10 percent. Regenerative braking is also available from the start, rather than being restricted to situations where the battery charge falls below 90 per cent.
The aviation-inspired Light Fury motor can spin at up to 9,000 rpm and uses soft magnetic components. Ultraviolette claims that rare-earth metal usage has been reduced by 50 per cent, while motor weight has dropped by 25 to 30 per cent. The company says power output has been maintained or improved.
The motor controller is also twice as compact and 40 per cent lighter than the current-generation unit.

The X-47 Venom gets several safety systems designed to protect the rider and improve awareness of surrounding traffic. Its battery safety setup includes a pyro-fuse that can isolate the battery circuit within microseconds if it detects a critical fault. This works alongside the battery management system and cell-level fuses.
The battery enclosure comes with an IP67 rating for protection against dust and water ingress. Another key feature is UV Hypersense, which uses a 77 GHz rear radar with a claimed monitoring distance of up to 200 metres. The system supports blind-spot monitoring, lane-change assistance, overtake alerts and rear-collision warnings. It can also activate the hazard lights when it detects a rear threat.
Other features include a 7-inch touchscreen, Mappls navigation, rear-camera park assist, cruise control and software updates. The motorcycle also gets VIOLETTE AI alerts, which can notify the owner about movement, falls, towing and crashes.
Ultraviolette X-47 Venom: Colours
The Ultraviolette X-47 Venom will be available in four colour options: Afterburner Yellow, Turbo Red, Cosmic Black and Stellar White. Alongside the motorcycle, the company has announced the B-MAX safety vest. The reusable vest is claimed to offer 86 per cent force attenuation and can be reused up to five times.
Ultraviolette has also promised extendable warranty coverage of up to 8,00,000 km. Further details about the warranty terms and coverage will be important for customers considering long-term ownership.
