One of the biggest changes to the 2026 Glanza is the introduction of the new Z12E 1.2-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. It is available with both 5-speed manual and 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT) options.
In petrol mode, the engine produces 83hp and 112Nm of torque. While the power output is 7hp lower than that of the outgoing four-cylinder engine, Toyota claims improved fuel efficiency. The petrol manual variant delivers a claimed mileage of 23.80kpl, while the AMT version returns 24.77kpl. The engine also gets an idle start/stop function to help improve fuel efficiency.
The CNG version produces 70hp and 102Nm of torque. It is also available with manual and AMT gearboxes. Toyota claims a mileage of 33.61km/kg for the manual variant and 34.47km/kg for the AMT version.

3. Revised Front Design and New Colour Options

The 2026 Toyota Glanza facelift receives a revised front fascia with a larger grille and satin-finish elements on either side. The LED fog lamps have also been redesigned, while the headlight units remain unchanged. The front Toyota logo has been repositioned to the trim below the bonnet. The updated model also gets a new shark-fin antenna and two new exterior colour options: Digital Teal Green and Bluish Black.
However, the side and rear profiles remain largely unchanged. The hatchback continues to feature 16-inch alloy wheels, chrome door handles, chrome window-line trim, wraparound LED tail-lamps, a roof-mounted spoiler and a rear wiper with washer.

4. Ventilated Seats, Wireless Charger and Level 2 ADAS

Toyota has added several new features to the Glanza facelift to improve comfort and convenience. The cabin now gets leatherette seat upholstery, ventilated front seats and a wireless phone charger with a cooling vent underneath. The updated hatchback also features a four-speaker and two-tweeter Clarion sound system, along with a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
Another key addition is a Level 2 advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) suite. The radar module integrated into the revised front design supports these driver assistance features. Other equipment carried forward includes a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a monochrome head-up display, analogue instrument dials with a coloured multi-information display and automatic climate control with rear AC vents.

5. Six Airbags and 360-Degree Camera Continue

The 2026 Toyota Glanza retains several safety features from the outgoing model. These include six standard airbags, a 360-degree camera, hill-hold control and ISOFIX child-seat anchors. The addition of Level 2 ADAS and a tyre pressure monitoring system further expands the hatchback's safety and driver assistance equipment.
With its revised styling, new engine and additional features, the 2026 Toyota Glanza facelift aims to strengthen its position in India's premium hatchback segment. Its improved claimed fuel efficiency, particularly in CNG mode, could also appeal to buyers looking for lower running costs.
