Toyota has showcased the new Land Cruiser FJ for the first time in public at the ongoing Japan Mobility Show 2025 in Tokyo. The Land Cruiser FJ is the latest model in the Land Cruiser Series from Toyota and it has been introduced as the new entry level model of the range. The Land Cruiser FJ was unveiled globally earlier this month and now it has been showcased to the public for the very first time at the event. Toyota is making efforts to make the iconic SUV nameplate available to a wider audience while retaining the series’ focus on durability and off-road capability.
Land Cruiser Family
The introduction of the FJ expands the Land Cruiser family, which now includes the LC 300 Series, LC 250 Series, LC 70 Series and the newly added LC FJ Series. Positioned as the entry point in the lineup, the FJ has drawn attention online for its compact proportions and retro-inspired styling, leading to it being nicknamed the ‘Baby Land Cruiser’. The company size and mechanical setup of the Land Cruiser FJ suggests that Toyota is aiming to position it as an affordable and versatile 4x4 for emerging markets as well as urban buyers seeking a smaller off-roader.
