VinFast Plans 50+ Electric Scooter Showrooms in India

As part of its expansion strategy, VinFast plans to set up more than 50 electric two-wheeler showrooms across 34 cities in 15 states and union territories. The proposed network will cover key markets, including Delhi, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana and Tamil Nadu.
The dealer partnerships are expected to help the company establish its retail presence ahead of the launch of its electric scooters. However, VinFast has not yet announced the opening dates for the showrooms or confirmed when its two-wheelers will go on sale in India.

VinFast Viper, Rasad Electric Scooters Expected

VinFast has not revealed its India-specific electric scooter lineup so far. However, the company has filed design patents in India for several models, including the Viper and Rasad, which could be among the scooters considered for the Indian market.

India’s Electric Two-Wheeler Market Attracts VinFast

VinFast’s planned entry comes as electric two-wheelers continue to gain ground in India. According to the company, India recorded 21.41 million two-wheeler registrations in the financial year 2025-26, with electric models accounting for 6.54% of the total.
The company will enter a market that already has several established manufacturers and electric vehicle-focused brands. Bajaj, TVS, Hero, Suzuki and Yamaha compete alongside electric two-wheeler makers such as Ather Energy and River.
