Tesla Delhi Showroom Inaugurated, Superchargers to be Set up in These Four Locations

American electric automaker, Tesla on Monday inaugurated its Delhi showroom in Aerocity's Worldmark 3. This comes on the back of the company’s recent Bombay showroom inauguration which happened earlier last month. The Delhi showroom will serve the company’s consumer base in the North India region, especially in the national capital region.

The company currently has only one car in its portfolio, the Model Y while it plans to bring more models to the Indian market. The Tesla Model Y was launched in India at Rs 59.89 lakh (ex-showroom) and boasts a WLTP-certified range of 500 km. It accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.9 seconds and supports fast charging that can provide up to 238 km of range in 15 minutes. The Long Range RWD variant, on the other hand, offers a maximum range of 622 km, with a 0 to 100 kmph time of 5.6 seconds and fast charging capability for up to 267 km in 15 minutes.

The company further announced the location where it would set up its V4 superchargers in the national capital, following the inauguration of its Bombay V4 supercharger. One of the locations for the Tesla supercharger would be the basement of the Delhi showroom where the company has set up four V4 superchargers. Apart from the Delhi showroom, the company has plans of setting up V4 superchargers in Saket, Horizon Center as well as Noida.

Additionally, the company stated that it would set up charging infrastructure across eight cities including Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, Bengaluru and Jaipur, among others.

The V4 superchargers would consist of DC chargers that will boast a maximum charging speed of 250 kW, taking 15 minutes to provide up to 275 km of range. The V4 Superchargers would also have AC charger stalls with a maximum charging speed of 11 kW.
