Yamaha R2 vs KTM RC 200 Spec Comparison: What's Different?

Yamaha has today launched the R2 sports bike in India. The R2 also made its global debut today. The R2 is slotted in between the R15 and R3 in the company’s global lineup. This segment is dominated by the KTM RC 200 which is well known for its performance and handling. Here’s our specification comparison to figure out how these two entry-level sports bikes fare out against each other.

The Yamaha R2 is available in an ex-showroom price range of Rs 2.30 lakh to Rs 2.53 lakh.

The KTM RC 20 is available with an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 2.31 lakh.

The Yamaha R2 houses a 204cc single cylinder petrol engine producing 26.14bhp and 19.1Nm of torque.

The KTM RC 200 houses a 199.5cc single cylinder petrol engine producing 24.67bhp and 19.2Nm of torque.

On the features front the Yamaha R2 sports a TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity, bi-directional quick shifter, Smart Key System, adjustable front forks, an adjustable rear shock absorber, adjustable clutch and brake levers, riding modes, a front fork top cap and more.

On the features front the KTM RC 200 sports a 5-inch TFT display, adjustable handlebars with risers, foldable mirrors, curved radiator with fan and more.
