Aston Martin Valen Unveiled with 861bhp V12 Engine: 150 Units Planned
Aston Martin has unveiled its new Valen at the 2026 Monterey Car Week, introducing what it calls its most powerful front-engined production car yet. Powered by a 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12, the limited-production GT delivers 861bhp and can accelerate from 0-100kph in just 3.1 seconds. Only 150 units will be produced by Aston Martin’s Q personalisation division, with deliveries scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2027.
Key Highlights:
- 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 produces 861bhp and 1,000Nm
- 0-100kph in 3.1 seconds; top speed limited to 345kph
- 110kg lighter than the Aston Martin Vanquish
- Limited to just 150 units globally
Aston Martin Valen: Engine and Performance
The Valen uses the same 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 as the Vanquish, but Aston Martin has increased power to 850hp, while peak torque remains at 1,000Nm. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to the rear wheels.
The transmission software has been adapted from the Vantage GT4 race car to provide quicker and more engaging shifts. Aston Martin claims the Valen can sprint from 0-100kph in 3.1 seconds, making it 0.2 seconds quicker than the Vanquish. Its top speed is electronically limited to 345kph.
The car is also 110kg lighter than the Vanquish. Aston Martin has used materials such as carbon fibre, aluminium, titanium and magnesium to reduce weight. The company has also made changes to the ESP, throttle, braking and steering systems, while stiffer suspension springs are aimed at improving body control.
Aston Martin Valen: Exterior
The Valen gets a more aggressive design compared with Aston Martin’s traditionally understated GTs. The front features a redesigned bonnet with a functional air vent, slim LED lighting and a sharp front splitter.
The car rides on lightweight magnesium wheels wrapped in specially developed Pirelli P Zero R tyres. The tyres measure 275/35 ZR21 at the front and 325/30 ZR21 at the rear. The Valen also gets Pirelli’s Cyber Tyre technology, which allows tyre data to be shared with the car’s dynamic control systems.
Large vents integrated into the side strakes help extract air from the wheel arches and are designed to improve aerodynamic performance.
At the rear, Aston Martin has replaced the conventional rear windscreen with a solid tailgate. It incorporates an aerodynamic wing that works like a Gurney flap to generate downforce without requiring a traditional rear spoiler. The rear also gets a slim LED light bar and 3D-printed titanium quad exhausts.

Aston Martin Valen: Interior and Features
The Valen’s cabin takes inspiration from the Vanquish but gets several unique touches. It features a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a three-spoke steering wheel.
A notable change is the 3D-printed centre console, finished in carbon fibre. It houses the push-button start-stop and aircraft-style drive mode selector.
Buyers can choose between Sport Plus seats, designed to balance comfort and support, and carbon-fibre Performance seats for a more focused driving experience.
Other features include a 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins sound system, 360-degree camera, digital inside rear-view mirror, powered steering column and wireless phone charging.
Aston Martin Valen: Price and Production
The Aston Martin Valen will be limited to just 150 units worldwide and will be built by the company’s Q personalisation division. Deliveries are expected to begin in Q2 2027.
Prices start at GBP 1.5 million, which is approximately Rs 19.46 crore, before optional extras. Buyers can also specify a fully exposed carbon-fibre exterior with satin or gloss finishes through Aston Martin’s Q division.
