BMW India has opened pre-orders for the first-ever BMW M2 xDrive Turbo Edition. The limited-edition performance car pays tribute to the iconic 1973 BMW 2002 Turbo and combines retro-inspired design elements with modern performance hardware. The model will be available in India in limited numbers on a first-come, first-served basis.

BMW M2 xDrive Turbo Edition: Exterior Design

The BMW M2 xDrive Turbo Edition features an Alpine White exterior with hand-painted BMW Motorsport stripes. Other design highlights include a black power dome on the bonnet, reversed ‘turbo’ lettering and a dedicated turbo emblem positioned below the M2 badge.
The car also gets a carbon-fibre roof, carbon-fibre tailgate and a carbon-fibre rear spoiler. Buyers can also opt for 19-inch front and 20-inch rear M Performance forged wheels finished in Gold Bronze. These design elements distinguish the special edition from the standard M2 while drawing inspiration from the original BMW 2002 Turbo.

BMW M2 xDrive Turbo Edition: Engine and Performance

The BMW M2 xDrive Turbo Edition is powered by a 3.0-litre, inline six-cylinder engine producing 480hp and 600Nm of torque. BMW says the car can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 3.7 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 250kmph. With the optional M Driver's Package, it can reach up to 285kmph.
The special edition retains the M2's performance-focused character, with its additional design elements celebrating BMW's history of turbocharged road cars.

BMW M2 xDrive Turbo Edition: Interior and Features

Inside, the BMW M2 xDrive Turbo Edition features M Carbon bucket seats, an M Alcantara steering wheel and carbon-fibre interior trim. An exclusive ‘turbo’ badge is integrated into the centre cupholder cover, adding another reference to the original model.
