GST Price Cut on Lexus Cars Up to Rs 21 Lakh in India
Lexus has announced price reductions across its entire product line in India, effective September 22, 2025, following the government's GST 2.0 reform. This initiative aims to pass on tax benefits to consumers, with reductions ranging from Rs 1.47 lakh to Rs 20.80 lakh depending on the model. The new GST structure lowers taxes significantly for various vehicle categories, including petrol and diesel cars. Lexus India President Hikaru Ikeuchi expressed gratitude for the reform, emphasizing the joy it brings during the festive season.

GST Price Cut on Lexus Cars Up to Rs 21 Lakh in India
Lexus, the luxury car arm of Toyota, has revised the prices of its complete product range in India after the government’s GST 2.0 reform. The company confirmed that it is transferring the benefits of the updated tax structure directly to buyers in the domestic market. The revised prices will take effect from September 22, 2025.
The reduction varies across models. The lowest cut is Rs 1.47 lakh on the Lexus ES 300h, while the highest cut is Rs 20.80 lakh on the flagship Lexus LX 500d.

The GST 2.0 framework has reshaped taxation for vehicles across categories. Petrol cars under four metres with engines smaller than 1,200cc now fall under the 18% GST slab, down from 29%. Diesel cars below 1,500cc also attract 18%, reduced from 31%. Mid-size vehicles have moved to a 40% slab from the earlier 45%. Large SUVs and luxury cars, which were previously taxed between 48–50%, now face a uniform 40% GST rate.
