Mahindra is preparing to expand its born-electric SUV range with the introduction of a new electric SUV. The Mahindra BE 07 EV has been spied testing on multiple occasions in recent times and it is expected to be launched in India on August 15th 2026. The BE 07 is expected to be positioned above the BE 6 in Mahindra’s BE range.

Mahindra BE 07: Expected Design
The BE 07 will take a different approach to the BE 6 in terms of its body style. While the BE 6 uses a coupe-SUV silhouette, the BE 07 is expected to have a more upright and conventional SUV profile.

Spy shots indicate that the production SUV will feature flush-fitting door handles, large alloy wheels and a relatively upright rear section. The test vehicle also gets a raked rear windscreen, roof-mounted spoiler and a large rear quarter glass.
Mahindra’s C-shaped LED lighting signature is expected to feature on the production version. However, the test mule is still using temporary rear light units, so the final design could differ from what is currently visible. The more upright proportions should also give the BE 07 more cabin space than the BE 6, particularly for rear passengers.
Mahindra BE 07: Expected Interior
The interior is one of the biggest talking points of the latest test mule. The BE 07 is expected to get a three-screen dashboard, with separate displays for the driver, infotainment system and front passenger. This setup is already seen on the Mahindra XEV 9e and XEV 9S and is expected to become a feature across more of the company’s premium electric models. The cabin is also expected to get a floating centre console, a two-spoke steering wheel with Mahindra’s butterfly logo and a five-seat configuration. A small display near the windscreen is visible in the test vehicle. It could be associated with the SUV’s camera or dashcam functionality, although it is not yet clear whether this will make it to the production version.
Mahindra BE 07: Expected Features
The BE 07 is expected to get a technology-focused equipment list, placing it above the BE 6 in Mahindra’s electric SUV line-up. Expected features include a panoramic glass roof, powered and ventilated front seats with memory function, dual-zone climate control and ambient lighting. The SUV could also get wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, connected-car technology and a Harman Kardon sound system. In terms of safety, a 360-degree camera, head-up display and Level 2 ADAS are expected. The latter could include adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance and autonomous emergency braking.
Mahindra BE 07: Expected Battery Packs and Range
The BE 07 will be based on Mahindra’s INGLO electric platform, which is also used by the BE 6, XEV 9e and XEV 9S.
Mahindra is expected to offer the BE 07 with 59kWh and 79kWh battery options. The larger battery could deliver a claimed range of more than 600km, although the final figure is likely to vary depending on the variant and production-specification vehicle.
The electric SUV could be available with both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The RWD version is expected to focus on efficiency and range, while the AWD version could use a dual-motor setup.
Since the BE 07 will be larger than the BE 6, its range is unlikely to directly match the BE 6’s claimed 548km-683km MIDC range.
Mahindra BE 07: Expected Price
The Mahindra BE 07 is expected to be priced from around Rs 26 lakh (ex-showroom), although the final price will be announced closer to its launch.
