New Colour Options
For the 2026 model year, the Honda CB125R will be offered in four new colours: Mat Rock Gray, Mat Lucent Silver Metallic, Zefiro Blue Metallic and Mat Pearl Diaspro Red. These additions expand the palette for riders while the rest of the motorcycle remains mechanically identical to the previous version. Honda reports that the CB125R has been among the highest-selling 125cc motorcycles in Europe in 2024 and through 2025, maintaining steady demand in the segment.
Model Overview
Introduced in 2018, the CB125R is positioned as a 125cc street motorcycle equipped with a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine paired with a six-speed transmission. It continues to feature a five-inch TFT display, 41mm Showa SFF-BP upside-down forks and a radial-mounted four-piston front brake caliper, components that contribute to its characteristics and handling profile. These elements remain unchanged in MY26.
Engine, Chassis and Dimensions
Powering the CB125R is a 124.9cc DOHC, 4-valve single-cylinder engine that puts out 14.7bhp at 10,000rpm and 11.6Nm of torque. The motorcycle is built around an inner pivot diamond frame with a wheelbase of 1,345mm. It has a seat height of 816mm, ground clearance of 140mm and a kerb weight of 130kg. The turning radius is listed at 2.3 metres, suggesting ease of handling in urban conditions. Overall dimensions stand at 2,025mm in length, 820mm in width and 1,055mm in height.
Suspension, Wheels and Braking
The CB125R continues with 41mm Showa SFF-BP USD forks at the front and a non-adjustable single rear damper. It rides on 17-inch wheels fitted with a 110/70 front tyre and a 150/60 rear tyre. Braking duties are managed by a 296mm floating front disc with a radial-mounted Nissin four-piston caliper and a 220mm rear disc. The motorcycle also features independent front and rear ABS supported by an IMU.
Equipment
Standard equipment includes a five-inch TFT colour display for instrumentation, along with LED lighting at both ends. The model uses an electric starter and a 12V, 5Ah battery (YTZ6V). These features carry forward unchanged for the MY26 update. The 2026 update focuses solely on new colour choices, with the motorcycle’s engine, chassis and feature list remaining consistent with the outgoing version.
