New Bajaj Pulsar 150 Launched in India at Rs 1.15 Lakh with Updated Engine, Gearbox, Chassis, Features and More

Bajaj has today launched the new Pulsar 150 in India with an introductory ex-showroom price tag of Rs 1,15,233. The new-generation Pulsar 150 has been introduced as part of the Pulsar brand's 25th anniversary celebrations and comes with significant updates to its engine, chassis, suspension and technology. The new Bajaj Pulsar 150 continues with the familiar Pulsar silhouette and performance-focused character, but the motorcycle gets a new engine and gearbox, diamond-type frame, monoshock suspension and a 5-inch TFT console. It also gets three riding modes, Crawl Tech and Google Maps navigation.

New Bajaj Pulsar 150: Powertrain & Performance

The new Pulsar 150 is powered by a 149.5cc engine that produces 14PS and 13.7Nm of torque. The automaker states that the motorcycle benefits from an improved power-to-weight ratio, which helps deliver quicker 0-60 kmph acceleration.
The engine is paired with a new gearbox designed to improve tractive effort in the lower gears. This is expected to make the motorcycle more responsive during low-speed riding while retaining the signature Pulsar performance experience.

New Bajaj Pulsar 150: Chassis & Suspension

The new Bajaj Pulsar 150 gets a diamond-type frame with increased stiffness. The engine also acts as a structural member, with Bajaj Auto claiming improvements in ride and overall stability. Another major change is the addition of a nitrogen gas-charged emulsion-type monoshock. The new suspension setup is designed to offer sportier handling, improved straight-line stability and better composure while cornering.

New Bajaj Pulsar 150: Features

The new Pulsar 150 also gets a 5-inch TFT instrument console. The display supports Google Maps mirroring and navigation, allowing riders to access navigation information directly through the motorcycle's console. The TFT unit also supports storage of important vehicle documents, including the registration certificate and insurance details. Riders can further access live call and message alerts as well as music controls.
Bajaj has equipped the new Pulsar 150 with three riding modes - Road, Rain and Sport. The company describes this as a segment-first feature, giving riders the ability to adapt the motorcycle to different riding conditions. The motorcycle also gets Crawl Tech, which is designed to make low-speed riding easier and provide greater control in slow-moving traffic.
The new Pulsar 150 is also available with an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) on the top three variants. The system enables automatic start-stop functionality and is aimed at improving fuel economy.
Bajaj Auto also says the ISG reduces mechanical complexity while contributing to a smoother and more refined riding experience.

New Bajaj Pulsar 150: Design

The front-end design has been updated with a new Wolf-Eye LED headlamp. It gets larger optics and a sharper design, giving the motorcycle a more aggressive appearance. According to Bajaj Auto, the headlamp on the top-spec Pulsar 150 offers best-in-class throw, spread and intensity.

Official Statement

Sarang Kanade, Chief Business Officer, Two-wheeler Business Unit, Bajaj Auto Ltd., said, “For over 25 years, Pulsar has been more than just a motorcycle. It has been the first taste of performance for generations of riders — the muscular tank, the unmistakable grunt, the rush of acceleration and the attitude that made it impossible to ignore. Pulsar has always been ‘Definitely Daring’, and that spirit remains at the heart of the brand. With the new Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 125, we have retained everything that makes Pulsar iconic while reimagining what lies beneath it. The result is a new generation of Pulsars that feels familiar in all the right ways, but is built for the riders of today.”
