Nissan Tekton Launched In India: Top 5 Highlights

Nissan has launched the all-new Tekton SUV in India at a starting price of Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The midsize SUV enters one of the country's most competitive segments and comes with two turbo-petrol engine options, six variants, and a long list of modern features and safety equipment. Here are the five biggest highlights of the new Nissan Tekton.

1. Bold SUV Design with Practical Dimensions

The Nissan Tekton measures 4,348mm in length, 1,815mm in width, 1,674mm in height and has a 2,657mm wheelbase. It offers 212mm of ground clearance and a 518-litre boot, making it suitable for both city use and long road trips.
Built on the same platform as the Renault Duster, the Tekton borrows styling cues from the larger Nissan Patrol. At the front, it gets a bold grille with chrome accents, a full-width LED light bar, and C-shaped LED DRLs. It also rides on 18-inch alloy wheels.
The rear design features connected LED tail lamps, a chunky bumper with a silver skid plate, and prominent 'Tekton' lettering on the tailgate. Like the Duster, the rear door handles are neatly integrated into the C-pillars.

2. Premium Cabin Loaded with Features

Inside, the Tekton gets a modern cabin with a dual-tone light grey and burgundy colour scheme highlighted by rose gold accents. The dashboard features a clean layered design along with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Other key features include:
  • Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
  • Built-in Google with navigation
  • Connected car technology
  • 6-speaker ARKAMYS sound system
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Wireless phone charger
  • Powered tailgate
  • Ventilated and electrically adjustable front seats
  • Toggle-style climate control switches
  • Customisable digital driver's display with turn-by-turn navigation

3. Available in Six Colour Options

The Nissan Tekton is offered in six exterior colours:
  • Onyx Black
  • Blade Silver
  • Pearl White
  • Flare Garnet Red
  • Indigo Blue
  • Moonbow Gray
These shades cater to buyers looking for both subtle and vibrant colour choices.

4. Six Variants to Choose From

The Tekton is available in six trims:
  • Visia
  • Visia Plus
  • Acenta
  • N-Connecta
  • Tekna
  • Tekna Plus
This wide variant lineup allows buyers to choose a model based on their budget and feature requirements.

5. Two Turbo-Petrol Engine Options

The Nissan Tekton is offered with two turbo-petrol engines shared with the Renault Duster.
  • 1.0-litre Turbo T160: 98 bhp
  • 1.3-litre Turbo T280: 160 bhp
Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual gearbox and a dual-clutch automatic (DCT), depending on the variant.
Unlike some rivals, the Tekton is currently available only with petrol engines. Nissan has not introduced a diesel or hybrid version, and the hybrid powertrain expected on the Renault Duster will not be offered on the Tekton.
