Tata Motors Posts Over 13 Percent Growth in Monthly Car Sales for December 2025
Tata Motors announced impressive sales figures for December 2025, reporting over 50,000 units sold, specifically 50,519 passenger vehicles, marking a 14.06 percent increase from the previous year. Domestic sales reached 50,046 units, reflecting a robust 23.14 percent growth. Electric vehicle sales also surged, with 6,906 units sold, a 24.16 percent rise compared to December 2024. Additionally, exports saw remarkable growth, with 473 units exported, a staggering 701.69 percent increase.

Tata Motors has revealed its passenger vehicles sales data for December 2025. The data shared by the company highlights that, Tata Motors has managed to sell a total of over fifty thousand units of passenger vehicles (PVs) last month.

Last month Tata Motors sold a total of 50,519 units of passenger vehicles (including PVs sold domestically plus exports from India). This sales figure represents a growth in year-on-year total monthly passenger vehicle sales by 6,230 units which further translates into a 14.06 percent rise in year-on-year total monthly passenger vehicle sales. In December 2024 Tata Motors posted a total passenger vehicle sales of 44,289 units.
In December 2025 Tata Motors managed to sell 50,046 units of passenger vehicles domestically in the Indian market. This sales figure represents a year-on-year increase in monthly domestic passenger vehicles sales by 5,816 units which further translates into a 23.14 percent rise in year-on-year monthly domestic passenger vehicle sales. In December 2024 Tata Motors posted a domestic passenger vehicle sales of 44,230 units.
In December 2025 Tata Motors sold 6,906 units of electric passenger vehicles. This sales figure represents a year-on-year growth in electric passenger vehicles sales by 1,344 units which further translates into a 24.16 percent rise in year-on-year electric passenger vehicle sales. In December 2024 Tata Motors had posted electric vehicle sales of 5,562 units.
In December 2025 Tata Motors exported 473 units of passenger vehicles from India. This represents a year-on-year increase in monthly passenger vehicle exports by 419 units which further translates into a 701.69 percent year-on-year growth in monthly passenger vehicle exports. In December 2024 Tata Motors exported 59 units of passenger vehicles.
Shailesh Chandra, MD and CEO, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. said, “December was another standout month as we continued our growth trajectory with 22% growth YoY. At the same time, our retail sales significantly exceeded wholesales, driving dealer inventory down to ~18 days, and underscoring our strategic focus on demand-led growth and prudent channel health management.”
