Suzuki Motorcycle India Launches OBD-2B Compliant Avenis And Burgman Scooters

Suzuki Motorcycle India, the two-wheeler subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, announces the launch of its OBD-2B compliant scooters, namely Suzuki Avenis and Suzuki Burgman series (Burgman Street and Burgman Street EX).

With the introduction of the updated Suzuki Avenis and Suzuki Burgman series, Suzuki Motorcycle’s entire portfolio of scooters (Access, Avenis, Burgman Street and Burgman Street EX) and motorcycles (V-Strom, Gixxer SF 250, Gixxer 250, Gixxer SF and Gixxer) are OBD-2B compliant.

Additionally, the Suzuki Avenis is offered in a Special Edition which comes in a new colour combination - Metallic Matte Black No. 2 / Matte Titanium Silver while the Burgman Street EX is available in the new Metallic Matte Stellar Blue colour in addition to the existing colours available in the market.

Suzuki Avenis is powered by an all-aluminium four stroke, single cylinder 124.3cc engine that is OBD-2B compliant, producing 8.58 bhp at 6,750 rpm and 10 Nm of torque @ 5,500 rpm. Additionally, the scooter also boasts the Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology and advanced fuel injection technology, delivering top-class power, performance, and low fuel consumption.

The OBD-2B Suzuki Avenis is priced at Rs. 93,200 (ex-showroom Delhi) and offered in four colour options - Glossy Sparkle Black / Pearl Mira Red, Champion Yellow No 2 / Glossy Sparkle Black, Glossy Sparkle Black / Pearl Glacier White and Glossy Sparkle Black whereas Suzuki Avenis Special Edition in Metallic Matte Black No. 2/ Matte Titanium Silver colour is available at Rs 94,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).

The Burgman series is powered by an all-aluminium 4 stroke, single cylinder 124cc engine. The latest update ensures that the Burgman series meet the latest OBD-2B norms. Powered by Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology, the Burgman Street produces 8.58 bhp at 6,750 rpm and 10 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. On the other hand, the Burgman Street EX comes with Suzuki Eco Performance Alpha (SEP-α) engine technology incorporating Engine Auto Stop-Start (EASS) and Silent Starter System. It produces 8.48 bhp of power at 6,500 rpm and 10 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm.

The Burgman Street EX has a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 1.16 lakh, available in three different colour options: Metallic Matte Stellar Blue, Metallic Matte Black No. 2, and Metallic Royal Bronze whereas the Burgman Street is priced from Rs 95,800 onwards (ex-showroom Delhi). It is offered in two variants: Standard Edition and Ride Connect, with seven colour options: Metallic Matte Black No. 2 (YKC), Pearl Mirage White, Metallic Matte Titanium Silver, Pearl Matte Shadow Green, Pearl Moon Stone Gray, Metallic Matte Stellar Blue and Metallic Matte Black No. 2
