BMW Concept Speedtop Breaks Cover At Concorso d’Eleganza

BMW presented its latest concept car, the Speedtop, at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Cernobbio, Italy. The event is known for featuring rare and historic vehicles. The Speedtop follows the Concept Skytop, which was shown at the same event in 2024 and later produced in a limited run.

The Concept Speedtop features a three-door layout and a body style that draws from BMW's Touring models. It has a coupe-like rear profile and a long bonnet. The exterior includes a color transition roof and a rear spoiler. The wheels are custom-designed, and the lighting at the front includes slim headlamps and an illuminated grille.

The interior uses a two-tone leather finish. Design elements connect the interior to the exterior color scheme. The seating area and luggage space are arranged for two occupants, with leather trim and storage areas. The luggage compartment is split into two sections. Perforated leather details are used throughout the interior.

Adrian van Hooydonk, Head of BMW Group Design, said, "A true BMW exudes dynamism and elegance even when it’s standing still. And that’s also the case with our new concept car. The BMW Concept Speedtop is characterised first of all by its profile. It is very unique in the automotive industry. In this way, we have created an exclamation mark for our entire lineup of vehicles, especially for the Touring models."

BMW developed the concept with its workshop in Dingolfing. Italian leather manufacturer Schedoni contributed custom luggage that fits behind the seats and in the trunk. The bags are designed to match the materials and colors used in the vehicle.

The Concept Speedtop uses BMW’s most powerful V8 engine. A production run of 70 units is planned, targeting collectors. According to BMW, the vehicle is now available to order.
