Volkswagen Taigun was recently updated in India. With this update the Taigun was introduced with revised variants, additional features and a new 8-speed automatic transmission for the 1.0L TSI. The engine options remain the same on this SUV.
The Taigun continues with the 1.0L TSI 3-cyl turbo-petrol engine which is offered with 6-speed MT and 8-speed AT options. The 1.5L TSI 4-cyl turbo-petrol engine paired with a 7-speed DSG. If the Taigun intrigues you then here’s a look at what each variant offers.

Volkswagen Taigun: Comfortline

The entry-level Comfortline is priced at Rs 10.99 lakh for the 1.0L TSI MT and comes equipped with LED headlamps with DRLs, auto-levelling headlights, LED tail lamps with sequential turn indicators, roof rails and automatic climate control. The cabin also gets rear AC vents, ambient lighting, a multifunction steering wheel and a six-speaker audio system. Safety equipment includes 6-airbags, ESC, ABS with EBD, tyre pressure monitoring system and multi-collision brakes.

Volkswagen Taigun: Highline

Priced from Rs 12.69 lakh for the 1.0L TSI MT and Rs 13.79 lakh for 1.0L AT, the Highline adds convenience and connected technology. In addition to the features of the Comfortline, this variant gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, cruise control, voice commands, alloy wheels, front and rear parking sensors, hill start assist and My Volkswagen Connect Plus.

Volkswagen Taigun: Highline Plus

The Highline Plus, priced at Rs 14.29 lakh for the 1.0L TSI MT and Rs 15.44 lakh for the 1.0L TSI AT, introduces premium comfort features. It comes with a digital instrument cluster, electric sunroof, keyless entry with push-button start, electrically folding ORVMs, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, an auto-dimming IRVM and welcome lighting.

Volkswagen Taigun: GT Line

Available at Rs 14.59 lakh for the 1.0L TSI MT and Rs 15.74 lakh for the 1.0L TSI AT, the GT Line focuses on sporty design enhancements. It gets GT badging, black exterior treatment, 17-inch black alloy wheels, black interior theme, aluminium pedals and red ambient lighting to distinguish it from the standard variants.

Volkswagen Taigun: Topline

The Topline is priced at Rs 15.99 lakh for the 1.0L TSI MT and Rs 17.17 lakh for the 1.0L TSI AT. It adds illuminated Volkswagen emblems, a connected LED DRLs, dual-tone alloy wheels, ventilated front seats, electrically adjustable front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a larger configurable digital instrument cluster and a premium sound system with a subwoofer.

Volkswagen Taigun: GT Plus Chrome and GT Plus Sport

Sitting at the top of the range, the GT Plus Chrome and GT Plus Sport are priced at Rs 18.99 lakh and Rs 19.29 lakh, respectively. Both are powered by the 1.5L TSI with a 7-speed DSG and Active Cylinder Technology. They also feature GT-specific styling elements, including GT badging, red brake calipers, leatherette upholstery and dual-tone exterior paint options, with the GT Plus Sport offering a sportier visual package.
