The updated Punch is likely to get a turbo-petrol engine for the first time. This is likely to be the 1.2L three-cylinder turbo-petrol unit currently used in the Nexon.
The existing 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine is expected to continue with manual and AMT gearbox options. The petrol-CNG version with a manual transmission is also likely to remain available.

The 2026 Punch facelift will be offered in six exterior colours: Cyantific, Daytona Grey, Caramel, Coorg Clouds, Bengal Rouge and Pristine White. The last three shades have been carried over from the Tata Sierra. Tata has removed Tornado Blue and Calypso Red from the current colour lineup.
