BMW iX1 Long Wheelbase Updated With New Colour and Upholstery Options in India
BMW India has introduced a new exterior color option and additional upholstery choices for its locally produced iX1 Long Wheelbase electric SUV. The model now features a Night Dusk Blue metallic paint, expanding the color palette to four options. Two new vegan leather upholstery choices have also been added, emphasizing sustainability and design with a 3D stitching pattern. The iX1 Long Wheelbase, which is BMW's top-selling electric vehicle in India, boasts a 204 hp powertrain and offers a driving range of up to 531 km.

BMW India announced that the iX1 Long Wheelbase electric SUV is now available with a new exterior paint option and additional interior upholstery choices. The vehicle is produced locally and bookings are open at all BMW dealerships across India.

New Exterior Colour Added
The iX1 Long Wheelbase now gets a new Night Dusk Blue metallic paint option. With this addition, the total number of exterior colour choices increases to four. The model is now available in:
- Night Dusk Blue
- Carbon Black
- Mineral White
- Skyscraper Grey
New Upholstery Options Introduced
BMW has added two new vegan leather upholstery choices:
- Veganza Smoke White + Atlas Grey dual tone
- Veganza Castanea
These materials are sourced without using animal leather. The upholstery features a 3D stitching pattern. The interior colour theme extends across multiple cabin areas, including seats, dashboard, door panels and speaker covers.
Sales Performance in India
The BMW iX1 Long Wheelbase is currently the brand’s highest-selling electric vehicle in India. It also holds the top position in sales within the premium electric vehicle segment. BMW previously added features such as a surround-view camera and has now updated the paint and interior options as part of product updates.
Dimensions and Interior Layout
The iX1 Long Wheelbase measures 4,616 mm in length and has a wheelbase of 2,800 mm. It is positioned as a five-seat electric SUV. The interior layout focuses on space, standard digital displays and connected features offered in the segment.
Powertrain and Battery Details
The BMW iX1 Long Wheelbase uses the brand’s fifth-generation eDrive electric powertrain, producing 204 hp and 250 Nm of torque. Power is delivered through a single electric motor setup. It is supported by a 66.4 kWh lithium-ion battery mounted on the floor. According to BMW, the iX1 LWB offers a driving range of up to 531 km under MIDC test conditions. The vehicle also features adaptive recuperation and a one-pedal driving function that helps recover energy during deceleration.
