BMW iX1 Long Wheelbase Updated With New Colour and Upholstery Options in India

The Tesla Model Y offers superior performance with its Rear-Wheel Drive variant generating 295 bhp and 420 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. In contrast, the BMW iX1 produces 201.15 bhp and 250 Nm of torque, taking 8.6 seconds for the same acceleration. The Model Y also has a higher WLTP range of up to 622 km compared to the iX1's MIDC range of 531 km.

The BMW iX1 features a 66.4 kWh battery with a driving range of up to 531 km. It can be charged using a 130 kW DC charger, reaching 80% charge in about 29 minutes. In contrast, the upcoming BMW iX3 will utilize a larger 108.7 kWh battery, supporting 400 kW DC fast charging, enabling a quick range top-up of 372 km in just 10 minutes.

The upcoming BMW iX3 will introduce several innovative features, including the BMW Panoramic iDrive system that allows for both manual and digital operations. It will also feature a new control computer called the Heart of Joy for better vehicle dynamics, and advanced driver assistance systems with AI capabilities for enhanced urban and highway driving.

The BMW iX1 features a standard digital display and connected features focused on space and comfort. In contrast, the upcoming iX3 will have a more advanced interior layout with a 17.9-inch central display running the latest BMW Operating System X, along with a panoramic vision system for displaying key driving information directly in front of the driver.

The BMW iX1 is equipped with features such as six airbags, ABS with EBD, Dynamic Stability Control, and Level 2 ADAS including lane departure warning. In comparison, the Tesla Model Y offers advanced safety features like Dashcam & Sentry Mode, Full Self-Drive package, and auto emergency braking, which provide a more comprehensive suite of active and passive safety technologies.
